About Us
There are millions of blogs that cover technology in the whole world. Probably, right in this moment, somebody out there is starting yet another blog, hoping to take over the world and become a media authority in this field. Being in the consumer technology field for more than 5 years has garnered me enough experience to understand that news reporting is already obsolete. There are so many websites from where you can find out the latest news in consumer technology and science that I won’t even bother to cite some of them to you.
We’re living in a world that is more and more shaped by technology. Science is becoming a part of our daily lives, even if we like it or not. In order to be able to make a symbiosis out of technology and our daily lives, we have to understand it and the advantages that it offers. Before taking the money out of our pockets and hurrying to get the latest gadgets, you should first ask yourself – do I really need them? Does this device really makes my life better or it’s actually limiting my social activities, creating a micro-world for me, where I live and breathe surrounded by technology, instead of living beings, nature…
I see all over the Internet people calling themselves “social freaks”, but all they mean by that is that they are addicted to their online social habits, where they don’t have to bother and entertain a live discussion or maintain a healthy friendship. This is an example of bad use of technology.
Computers have become the basic part of our the civilized world. And it seems that smartphones and tablets are the next step as we need to have an intelligent digital assistant always with us. Could this be the beginning of a world where everything will be automated? Does consumer technology need to be understanded and used with care? “What remains human in us if we fill our lives with technology?”, my father asks me. That’s why we need to integrate technology into our lives, we need to mold consumer technology on our needs as human beings.
“God never made his work for man to mend“, says John Dryden. That’s why, Main Device is about finding which devices, websites, online activities or gadgets are actually worthy for you to spend your energy on them. We’re not the regular news reporting tech website. Here, at Main Device, we believe in the quality of content and information. We believe that the reader needs to be delighted with the information that he gets and we strive to offer you exhaustive and helpful analysis and reports on trending technology and science topics.
This is our “manifesto” and we’re doing this so that you could digest the evolving technology before it gets beyond your understanding.
